I have to say, I believe I’ve used up all my “hertz” puns for this blog series. However, the way I am using the word hertz in relation to music is absolutely true. Some music does hurt us.

If we look at the 20th century and the massive changes there were in music, some good some not so good, but for the most part, as long as music remains pleasant to listen to, it has a positive effect on our psyche.

There have been many studies done with respect to the effects of music on the brain and all conclude that music affects us “somehow”, and the somehow is determined by various factors which include, repetition, rhythm, structure and whether it is composed in a major (positive) or minor (negative) key or if it is dissonant (negative) or tonal (positive).

It has been well documented that music can make us sad, happy, agitated or relaxed and in some cases are even capable of inciting crowds.

Personally, Mozart is my favorite composer and I love listening to his compositions while I am working on a project. It seems to help my creativity. The “Mozart effect” has also been scientifically observed to change brain waves to the point of helping patients control epileptic seizures and increasing our capacity to learn.

When I want to work at a steady pace, I listen to Bach’s music. His compositions are very organized and my brain relaxes right into what I am doing.  Of course these are my personal observations but I’m sure most people would react the same way.

The thing both composers have in common is that their music is structured the same way, and by structure I am referring to the fact that they are a musical and mathematical expression of the 2ndbiological law, The Law of Two Phases”. Please refer to my first blog on this subject, “Music Soothes the Soul”.

 

“Where does it hertz”

 

In my previous blog, “Where does it hertz”, I explained that the vibration of music was purposely changed in 1939, but the question is now that we know about it, can we do something about it?

The answer is yes and I must also tell you that this is literally the first time in history that we can do something about it.

When I began to research the effects of music played and recorded at 432 HZ in contrast to 440 HZ I also came across some web sites that offered a program that can be downloaded to convert all recorded music back to 432! BUT, and this is an important fact, as soon as it is uploaded to your ipad, or iphone, the itunes program reverts it all back to 440 HZ!

It does not revert back to 440 HZ on android phones or ordinary MP3 players. However, there is a solution. Mac does offer an APP that can be downloaded to their devices that will not allow music previously converted to 432 HZ revert back to 440.

Dr. Hamer became aware of the 440 HZ issue not long after he had his song “Mein Studentenmaedchen” recorded by a choir, and although he tried to rectify the problem all he encountered were problems. To remedy the situation he recorded himself singing his own song with cello accompaniment the same way he would have sung it for his wife, at the natural 432 HZ.

He suggests that anyone that wishes to experiment with his song listen to it as many hours as possible day and night. 24 hours is preferable, however he does realize we have busy schedules and are unable to do so unless we are home all the time so if we don’t have time during the day, then we can play it all night long and still experience the positive effects of this music.

He suggests that the choir version is played during the day and his own version with the cello accompaniment is played during the night. Of course it does not need to be played at full blast, it should be played at a level where it is just audible.

Unless someone is a musician, no one would know anything about the origin of what we call “concert pitch” which means that the vibration of “concert A” is different from “natural A” also known as “Verdi A” which is the pitch at which we naturally sing songs.

A frequency is measured in “hertz” which indicates how many cycles of vibration the frequency goes through in a single second. The second, our unit of time, is based on the rotation of the earth, which is 1/86,400th of a day, which indicates that there is a biological mechanism at play, and that it can be mathematically verified.

Concert pitch is an invention of the 20th century and unfortunately like all other things that come naturally to us, natural pitch, which vibrates at 432 hertz, has been interfered with and quite obviously controlled. The question is why?

When things that come naturally to us are changed I always look for a hidden agenda. Being involved in the holistic health industry my eyes have been opened many times with respect to those hidden agendas and how these forms of “controlling” what we do or what we use in the way of natural healing are for the benefit of a very elite group of people, which needless to say have nothing to do with the general population and what they really want.

Unfortunately not everything is out in the open and most of these areas of our lives that have been controlled are hidden from us, until of course we do more research into these things.

As most of you know, my original background is in music, and even though “concert pitch” is universally accepted in the performance and recording of music, musicians don’t really know why everything has been tuned to the key of “concert A”. None of us questioned the “unification of pitch” when we were studying music history.

Historically, concert pitch has been “officially” used in the western world from 1939 onwards. One would believe this was a good thing, that pitch had become universal and that all instruments were tuned to a specific pitch which vibrates exactly at 440 hertz. As a matter of fact, the tuning fork, that most string players use to tune their instrument is tuned to “concert A”.

Our natural pitch, 432, is approximately ¼ of a semitone lower than concert pitch. The big question is why was our natural pitch tampered with if all other notes were tuned to “natural A”? If everything is in tune, then there is no dissonance, if there is no dissonance, then there is harmony!

Question: When is there disharmony in the world?

Answer: During times of war….and I might add that there is a war going on somewhere in the world all the time.

Is it not curious that our natural pitch was interfered with in 1939 just prior to the onset of World War II? If one begins to dig into the whys and wherefores of this “vibrational change” in music the reasons for this change becomes quite evident.

To understand why, we have to look to the last century and what was developing in the world in 1939. The world was changing rapidly and there was political unrest in Europe. War was in the air.

Historically the original research on hertz was done with a grant from the Rockefeller Foundation in an alliance with The Third Reich in the 1930’s where it was concluded that when people were exposed to music at 440 HZ, they became more aggressive, worked harder and were emotionally “removed” from their surroundings.

To quote Dr. Leonard Horowitz, well known as a conspiracy theorist, he writes in his book “Musical Cult Control”: “The music industry features this imposed frequency that is ‘herding’ populations into greater aggression, psycho social agitation, and emotional distress predisposing people to physical illness.”

Officially 440 HZ was implemented in the USA between 1939 and 1940 at the onset of World War II.  By 1953 it became standard in the western world.

Hamer: Our Brains on Music;    uly 15th 2015

There has been so much research done on music and how it affects the brain, I could go on forever about it, however none of the existing research is as profound as that of what Dr. Hamer discovered about how our brains react when exposed to music in a specific form. By form, I mean how a musical composition is structured.

As I mentioned in my last blog, Giovanna Conti discovered that the 2nd biological law, “The Law of Two Phases” exists in practically all of music in an exact mathematical formula that can be compared to the conflict active phase and the healing phase.

This was verified by counting all the notes in the composition where the conflict active phase was expressed by the composer and then the same again when the composer expressed the healing phase. Astoundingly this was mathematically similar in every case to the structure of the law of two phases.

What was more astounding was the fact that Conti discovered that the “Golden Ratio” and the “Fibonacci numbers” could also be mathematically proven to exist within the 2nd biological law contained within the composition.

The exact mathematical calculation for this can be found in Conti’s book the “Biological Meaning of Music”.

The Golden Ratio was discovered by Adolf Zeising who was a mathematician and philosopher. In 1854 he declared the following:

The Golden Ratio is a universal law in which is contained the ground-principle of all formative striving for beauty and completeness in the realms of both nature and art, and which permeates, as a paramount spiritual ideal, all structures, forms and proportions, whether cosmic or individual, organic or inorganic, acoustic or optical; which finds its fullest realization, however, in the human form.

Fibonacci lived 7 centuries before Zeising and discovered that a specific numbering system occurred in nature which was evident in how the leaves and petals were arranged around the stems of plants.

The question is, what does this have to do with the healing properties of music?

When Dr. Hamer began to experiment with his own composition “Mein Studentenmaedchen” and the effects it had on physical and emotional challenges, he concluded that the actual structure of the song was what was responsible for the changes that were evident in his patients.

The mathematical structure was perceived by the brain through music and through listening to it constantly, created a kind of stasis where the conflict activity taking place in the cerebrum was downgraded to a level where there was virtually no conflict activity taking place.

In the old brain, which is comprised of the cerebellum and pons of the brainstem, the conflict activity was “put on hold”.

In a situation where the patient was undergoing a healing phase, listening to the music was able to help them to get through it much faster than under normal circumstances. This was especially evident when they were in what we call a “hanging healing” more commonly known as a chronic condition.

In essence, listening to the music on a constant basis helps the body and psyche to get into the same state of wellbeing as a pregnant woman naturally enters into from the 12th week of pregnancy.

It has already been clinically observed that a cancer growing in a female stops growing when she enters into her second trimester of pregnancy. This is nature’s way of assuring the survival of mother and child during this important time of reproduction. This form of stasis continues not only during the entire gestation period but also as long as the mother is breast feeding her infant.

Who would ever have imagined we could achieve this through music?

The important thing to remember is that it is not just any kind of music that is capable of doing this. The musical formula has to fit into the 2nd biological law “The Law of two Phases”, or it will not work the same way.

As Dr. Hamer said to me recently “We now have the template with the love song I composed for my wife all those years ago, so we don’t have to look any farther or even create anything new.”

In my next blog I would like to discuss the importance of the “vibration” or “hertz” we are exposed to when we listen to music.

Those of you following the GNM may already know that Dr. Hamer has recently directed his attention to music therapy and has written another volume of more than 700 pages on the subject, which also includes his personal research and detailed case histories.

The findings are quite astounding. However, in order for someone to fully understand how and why music works as a therapy, I must give you more background as to how all this began.

Those of you that have already bought a copy of Dr. Giovanna Conti’s book “The Biological Meaning of Music” which is available through my book sales page, know what she discovered is ground breaking not only in music but also in medicine and psychotherapy.

Dr. Conti is a professor of music who through a personal diagnosis of cancer got to know about the GNM, took seminars with Dr. Hamer while he was still teaching in Spain and realized that the second biological law “The Law of the Two Phased Development of all Diseases” actually existed in all music composed pre 20th Century. Post 20th century music became more dissonant and abstract, however in some cases the law of two phases can still be identified.

Dr. Conti began to analyze well known symphonies, Lieder and folk songs and realized that the 2ndbiological law was expressed by the composer in the music he had written. In fact the composer was expressing the DHS, the sympaticotonia, which is the stress phase, right through the first half of the healing phase, the healing crisis and then through to normotonia. This expression is on an exact mathematical formula where the composer was writing about his conflict! This musical formula is not exclusive to known composers with tragic lives. Giovanna discovered that simple folk songs passed from generation to generation were also composed in this format.

Essentially she discovered that musical compositions all contained the 2nd biological law. Once she had disclosed her discovery to Dr. Hamer, he told her that he had also composed a song for the 20th anniversary of his marriage to his wife Sigrid Hamer decades prior to her discovery.

This love song was written by Dr. Hamer 2 years prior to the shooting death of their son Dirk and 5 years before Dr. Hamer’s discovery of the first biological law “The Iron rule of Cancer” and what astounded Dr. Conti was that Dr. Hamer’s song was the actual template for the 2nd biological law in an exact mathematical formula that he expressed in this love song to his wife.

The song is called “Mein Studentenmaedchen” (My Student Girl) and was recorded by a choir not long after the discovery. Dr. Hamer made the song available on DVD with his first publication expanding on the Conti discovery in “Die Archaischen Melodien” (The Archaic Melodies).

The book was purchased through Dr. Hamer’s online shop by a gentleman with a 7 year old daughter who had been suffering with chronic bronchitis for many months.

When this little girl heard her father playing the DVD of Dr. Hamer’s song, she asked to borrow it and kept playing it nonstop. In less than a week, the little girl’s bronchial symptoms abated and she made a full recovery.

It was through this particular case that Dr. Hamer realized how valuable music was in helping people to “get over the hump” from what we call a “hanging healing”, meaning a chronic illness, to full recovery in a very short time. This was the beginning of his “official” research applying music therapy using the template “Mein Studentenmaedchen”.

Dr. Hamer now has hundreds of cases proving that music therapy can be used to help adults, children, infants and animals heal from almost all illnesses.

In my next blog, I will give more information about how and why music therapy using this musical formula helps our bodies to heal.
